Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain and Angel tribal midrange strategy commanded by Rodolf Duskbringer. The game plan revolves around leveraging early lifegain enablers like Soul Warden and Giada, Font of Hope to fuel powerful payoffs including Righteous Valkyrie, Resplendent Angel, and Angelic Accord. Once a healthy life buffer is established, the deck transitions into a lethal aerial offense, using Rodolf Duskbringer and Celestine, the Living Saint to recur key threats directly from the graveyard during the end step. Secondary win conditions such as Astarion, the Decadent, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and Sanguine Bond convert massive life gains into direct opponent life loss. While the deck boasts robust permanent removal and steady recursion, its reliance on untapping with creature boards leaves it moderately vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and fast noncreature combo strategies.
