Deck overview

This deck is an Eldrazi swarm and experience counter aggro build led by Azlask, the Swelling Scourge. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost mana rocks, dorks, and Eldrazi token generators such as Writhing Chrysalis, Catacomb Sifter, and Path of Annihilation. As colorless Eldrazi Scion and Spawn tokens are sacrificed for mana, Azlask, the Swelling Scourge steadily accumulates experience counters. Once a critical mass of tokens and five-color mana is established—often supported by Chromatic Lantern, Enduring Vitality, or painland fixing—Azlask activates its five-color ability. This activation grants an overwhelming +X/+X buff across the entire board while giving Scions and Spawns indestructible and annihilator 1. Secondary engines like Ezuri, Claw of Progress, Minthara, Merciless Soul, Glaring Fleshraker, and Sire of Stagnation provide auxiliary card advantage, direct damage, and redundant power scaling, ensuring lethal pressure even if Azlask faces targeted disruption.
