Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a tightly wound lifegain combo engine helmed by Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, leveraging the en-Kor family-Nomads en-Kor, Shaman en-Kor, Warrior en-Kor, Outrider en-Kor-and their 0-cost damage redirection abilities. By repeatedly targeting a creature such as Task Force or Daru Spiritualist, the deck pumps toughness to arbitrarily high numbers. That enormous toughness is then converted into life gain via Proper Burial, Angelic Chorus, or Ayli's sacrifice ability, which in turn triggers Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Vizkopa Guildmage, or Enduring Tenacity to drain each opponent to zero. A rebel-tutor subtheme with Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero and Defiant Falcon provides reliable access to the combo's key pieces. Secondary wins come from Tree of Perdition setting an opponent's life to an abysmal total, Sorin of House Markov converting life gain into burn, or Wall of Limbs sacrificing for lethal X-damage. The deck is redundant, interactive, and resilient, with multiple lines to the same inevitability.
