Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos spellslinger and burn strategy built around Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. The primary objective is to cast low-cost spells while developing Wizard creatures to trigger Kuja's transformation into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. Once transformed, Trance Kuja doubles all damage dealt by Wizards, turning incidental token pings and spellslinger triggers into devastating table-wide burn. The deck runs a redundant suite of pinger creatures such as Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Firebrand Archer, supplemented by damage enhancers like Tor Wauki the Younger and Collective Inferno. While the deck boasts heavy spot removal to police opposing boards and generates explosive burst damage, its reliance on fragile creatures sitting on the battlefield without countermagic protection makes it vulnerable to sweepers and attrition.
