Deck overview

This is an Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Vivi Ornitier, a mana engine that grows with every noncreature spell and pings each opponent. The primary game plan is to chain instants and sorceries through a dense suite of cost reducers (Ruby Medallion, Sapphire Medallion, Mocking Sprite, Stormcatch Mentor, Wizards of Thay, Melek, Reforged Researcher) and copy effects (Thousand-Year Storm, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Alania, Divergent Storm, Ether), converting massive spell counts into lethal damage via Guttersnipe, Vivi's own ping, and big copied X-spells like Jaya's Immolating Inferno and Blaze. The deck is heavily interactive, running 17 counterspells to protect its storm turns. Secondary lines include Return the Past flashback recursion and Wand of Wonder value. It is a classic "one big turn" storm deck: durdle, grow Vivi, then explode.
