Format: Commander

Commander: Zidane, Tantalus Thief

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Zidane, Tantalus Thief leads a Boros theft toolkit that steals opponent creatures with haste, lifelink, and untap to convert them into immediate attacks, sacrifice fodder for Brion Stoutarm/Fling, or combo pieces. The deck also runs a blink/ETB package with Felidar Guardian, Restoration Angel, and flicker spells to repeatedly reuse enters-the-battlefield triggers, generating value, protection, and eventual combo kills via Dualcaster Mage/Dualcaster Mage copy lines. The commander is a support piece that accelerates theft, but the core engine is the blinking of utility creatures to out-value opponents and assemble one of several two-card loops.
