Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue artifact deck built around Lady Octopus, Inspired Inventor. The game plan relies on deploying Lady Octopus early, then capitalizing on her ability to gain ingenuity counters whenever cards are drawn. Through cantrips, natural draw steps, and proliferate cards such as Tezzeret's Gambit and Flux Channeler, the deck builds up counter counts quickly. Once Lady Octopus has 7 to 12 counters, she cheats massive win conditions—such as Blightsteel Colossus, Krang, Utrom Warlord, and Memnarch, the Warden—directly onto the battlefield without paying mana. A suite of low-cost counterspells defends the board, while untap tools like Sting, the Glinting Dagger and Unstoppable Plan maximize commander activations and combat phases to eliminate opponents across consecutive combat steps.
