Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya Equipment Voltron strategy helmed by Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist. The game plan revolves around casting Mirri early, equipping her with a comprehensive arsenal of Swords of X and Y, and attacking each turn. Mirri's combat ability creates an asymmetric advantage by restricting each opponent to a single blocking creature, allowing equipped threats to connect easily. While tapped, Mirri also prevents opponents from attacking you with more than one creature, heavily insulating you from aggressive wide boards. Mana-cheating permanents like Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, Forge Anew, and Hammer of Nazahn bypass expensive equip costs, while double-strike enablers accelerate commander damage. The deck defends its Voltron package using an abundant suite of low-cost instant protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Tamiyo's Safekeeping. A secondary infinite mana combo between Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Argothian Elder provides an explosive alternate finish.
