Deck overview

This deck executes a focused Gruul Voltron and multi-combat strategy powered by the partner pairing of Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Raised by Giants. Early turns focus on accelerating mana using dense 2-CMC ramp spells to deploy Karlach on turn 4 and Raised by Giants on turn 5. Once assembled, Karlach becomes a massive 10/10 Giant that untaps attacking creatures and grants a second combat phase, immediately dealing 20 commander damage in a single turn. Redundant damage doublers like Two-Handed Axe, Xenagos, God of Revels, and Calamity Bearer turn this into instant one-shot eliminations, while Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar spreads that lethal damage across all three opponents simultaneously. The deck protects its commander using a deep suite of 1-mana hexproof and indestructible spells. Its main vulnerability is a near-total absence of reactive removal, leaving it reliant on racing opposing combo decks.
