Deck overview

This Grixis deck builds one large Army and wins through combat damage amplified by the Ring tempts you mechanic. Sauron, the Dark Lord is the central engine: each opponent spell amasses Orcs 1, the Army dealing combat damage tempts you, and each tempt lets you discard your hand to draw four. Nine copies of Nazgul, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Great Goblin, Foul-Hearted provide redundant amass and Wraith counters, while Archfiend of Ifnir, Sheoldred, and Orcish Bowmasters turn discards into control and drain. Chandra's Ignition on a huge Army offers a mass-damage finish. Norman Osborn // Green Goblin acts as a hidden commander, giving graveyard mayhem and cost reduction for discarded spells.
