Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis Wheels strategy led by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The plan centers on converting symmetrical card draw into lethal asymmetric burn. By deploying Nekusar or redundant punishers such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Underworld Dreams, and Fate Unraveler, the deck turns every mass draw effect into a severe damage burst. With more than 14 wheel and group-draw effects, the deck reliably cycles through its library, chaining multiple wheels in quick succession using mana engines like Waste Not and Mana Geyser. While wheeling actively refills opponents' hands with fresh cards and interaction, the relentless life loss and disruptive hand resets routinely overwhelm opposing life totals by Turn 7. Secondary synergies like Notion Thief and Helm of the Ghastlord provide devastating hand-stripping locks that close out games when standard burn is contested.
