Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Grixis midrange build centered on Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It pairs tribal Villain synergies with discard and connive mechanics to sculpt your hand, grow an evasive creature army, and pressure life totals. In the opening turns, you deploy low-cost Villains and mana acceleration before casting Doctor Doom on Turn 4. Doom immediately grants menace and connives each combat, filtering cards and growing your attackers with +1/+1 counters. By Turn 6, payoff permanents like The Squadron Sinister, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and Titania, Proud Pummeler turn that board into a lethal combat threat while Doom's passive ability burns opponents whenever you discard land cards. The deck features versatile spot removal and board sweepers to manage opposing threats, along with soft taxes like Propaganda and Archfiend of Ifnir. It closes games reliably around Turn 8 through continuous, evasive combat damage and incremental burn.
