Deck overview

This deck is a specialized tempo-attrition engine commanded by Obeka, Splitter of Seconds. The strategy centers on exploiting Obeka's ability to turn combat damage into additional upkeep steps during the post-combat main phase. The deck pairs Obeka with evasive equipment and a dense suite of permanents that trigger during the upkeep step, such as the Court cycle, Monarch mechanics, Suspend cards, and verse counter enchantments. Once Obeka connects for combat damage, every upkeep permanent triggers multiple times in a single turn, rapidly compounding resources, stripping opposing hands, and draining life totals. Double strike equipment like Fireshrieker doubles this output, granting 4 to 8 upkeeps per combat. The deck runs solid protection through Ward and Shroud equipment, while asymmetric control cards like Temporal Distortion and Court of Ambition grind opposing development to a halt while Obeka closes the game.
