Thranduil, The Elvenking by MegaBabbeo

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a BUG Elf-ball deck that floods the board with Elf tokens and mana dorks, then wins through Craterhoof Behemoth, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, or Lathril's drain. The commander is a late-game engine that reuses dead Elves' activated abilities and draws cards off other legendary Elves. The deck supports a hidden commander package: Maralen, Fae Ascendant functions as a secondary engine that can cast free spells from opponents' libraries. Many lines also assemble infinite mana or infinite Elf tokens with Intruder Alarm, Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter, Devoted Druid + Flourishing Defenses, or Freed from the Real on Badgermole Cub or a mana dork. The deck is proactive, tutor-heavy, and aims to close by turn 7-8 with disruptive one-mana countermagic and mass bounce available.
