Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos treasure-burn strategy built around Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug provides an indestructible, hasted 8/7 flying threat that generates Treasure tokens equal to any noncombat damage dealt to him. The deck turns high-damage sweepers and self-damage spells like Blasphemous Act, Chain Reaction, and Cut Propulsion into massive mana bursts, creating 13 to 16 Treasures in a single action. As these tokens enter and are sacrificed, artifact pingers such as Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, Weftstalker Ardent, and Mirkwood Bats deal lethal burn damage to each opponent simultaneously. Supported by alternate win conditions like Hellkite Tyrant and token multipliers like Xorn and Academy Manufactor, the deck delivers rapid damage spikes once its commander lands. Built-in indestructible and haste minimize summoning sickness and make damage sweepers entirely one-sided, while redirection spells and equipment protect against targeted exile.
