Deck overview

This Jeskai control and token deck is commanded by Gavi, Nest Warden, utilizing the cycling mechanic to generate card velocity, creature tokens, and steady incremental damage. The deck accelerates in the early turns using mana rocks and landcyclers before deploying Gavi on Turn 5. Once active, Gavi enables free cycling once per turn, reliably producing 2/2 Dinosaur Cat tokens and fueling draw-trigger payoffs. Win conditions include overwhelming the board with tokens amplified by Cathars' Crusade, Jazal Goldmane, or Virtue of Loyalty; burning the table through discard/draw triggers such as Drannith Stinger, Psychosis Crawler, and Brallin, Skyshark Rider; or casting Approach of the Second Sun and digging rapidly back into it. Supported by board wipes like Akroma's Vengeance, recursion engines like Reconstruct History and Sun Titan, and phasing protection from Clever Concealment, the deck controls the pace of combat and out-values opponents over extended turn cycles.
