Deck overview

This mono-red deck helmed by Captain James T. Kirk utilizes a fast combat strategy blending Star Trek flavor with traditional go-wide aggressive mechanics. The early turns focus on deploying efficient Warrior and Officer beaters before casting Kirk on Turn 3. Starting on Turn 4, Kirk attacks to generate additional 1/1 Officer tokens, rummage through excess lands, or pump the team. Goad effects like Disrupt Decorum and Koloth, Tribble Hunter force opponents into mutual attrition while keeping defensive lines thin. The deck hits its critical threshold on Turn 6, leveraging powerful anthems such as Shared Animosity and Gnarling Targ or extra combat phases like World at War to overpower opposing blockers. Without fast mana or tutors, the deck relies on natural curve efficiency and combat momentum to close games around Turn 8.
