Deck overview

This deck uses Ygra, Eater of All as a large Food-making sacrifice payoff. Because every other creature is also a Food, sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, and Altar of Dementia grow Ygra, Eater of All while producing scry, mana, or mill. Token makers including Ophiomancer, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, Awakening Zone, Camellia, the Seedmiser, and Peregrin Took provide material for the engine. Mirkwood Bats, Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, and Cauldron of Essence add life-drain payoffs, while edict creatures and removal control creature-heavy boards. The deck assembles this value engine around turn 7 in ordinary draws, but it lacks a deterministic kill, compact table-wide damage route, or total lockout. Its main weakness is that its pieces are individually removable and its strongest payoffs require several permanents together.
