Ghidorah, King of the Cosmos by Lucien

Format: Commander

Commander: Illuna, Apex of Wishes

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Temur mutate deck is helmed by Illuna, Apex of Wishes, using its mutate trigger to exile cards until a nonland permanent is found, then putting it onto the battlefield or into hand. The primary plan is to stack multiple mutate triggers on a single creature-often a hexproof or indestructible body like Slippery Bogle or Blor the Impervious-to chain value from Auspicious Starrix (dumping permanents), Migratory Greathorn (ramp), and Dreamtail Heron (draw). The deck aims to cheat out high-impact permanents such as Omniscience or Genesis Ultimatum, then overwhelm the table with card advantage and a growing board of large creatures. Secondary paths include combat damage from evasive threats like Etali, Primal Storm and Toski, Bearer of Secrets, or copying key permanents with Vesuvan Duplimancy and Rite of Replication. The commander is the primary engine for value, but the deck can still function through other mutate creatures and generically powerful Temur cards.
