For Frodo (But Mostly Sam) by MongicLover

Format: Commander

Commander: Sam, Loyal Attendant and Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Abzan Food deck pairs Sam, Loyal Attendant with Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit to generate a flood of Food tokens while drawing cards through the Ring mechanic and token payoffs. The primary plan is to go wide with tokens, convert life gain into card advantage and counters, and finish with Craterhoof Behemoth or Sanguine Bond/Enduring Tenacity drain. Sam slashes Food activation costs, while Peregrin Took, Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, and Academy Manufactor multiply token production. Frodo provides steady card draw once the Ring has tempted twice, and Smeagol, Helpful Guide can ramp by stealing lands. The deck can pivot between aggressive combat and attrition-based drain, with recursion from Eerie Ultimatum and Smile at Death. The commander pair is integral but the deck has enough token and life synergy to function if one is removed, though losing both slows it considerably.
