Deck overview

This mono-blue deck revolves around Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, utilizing his passive {2} cost reduction for Sphinx spells and his powerful Fact-or-Fiction enter triggers. The game plan focuses on deploying mana rocks during the early turns to land Unesh by Turn 5. Once Unesh resolves, every subsequent Sphinx played costs significantly less mana and provides substantial card advantage and graveyard filling. This card flow allows the pilot to flood the board with large flying threats, control the pace of the game with blue interaction, and finish opponents through overwhelming aerial combat, extra turns from Time Stretch, or alternate self-mill win conditions such as Thassa's Oracle and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. While the deck generates immense card advantage, it relies heavily on keeping its 6-mana commander on the battlefield.
