Deck overview

Helga, Skittish Seer leads a Bant counters and stompy engine designed to chain high-impact creatures while generating immense mana and continuous card draw. The deck leverages creatures with mana value four or greater and variable X costs to trigger Helga, rapidly growing her power and tapping her for massive mana infusions. Multiple counter doublers and cost reducers accelerate board development. You close out games through overwhelming combat damage powered by Overwhelming Stampede, Kalonian Hydra, or unblockable strikes from Herald of Secret Streams, with alternate win conditions provided by a rapid twenty-counter Simic Ascendancy or infinite untap loops using Chulane, Teller of Tales and Intruder Alarm.
