Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is built around Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, using forced combat, asymmetric combat redirection, and group slug attrition to turn opponents against one another. The game plan begins by deploying Xantcha on Turn 3 under an opponent's control. This forces that player to attack the others while giving you a repeatable mana sink to draw cards and drain their life total. As opponents trade resources in combat, the deck layers on mass goad effects like Disrupt Decorum, Kardur, Doomscourge, and Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer to prevent attacks coming your way. Mid-game damage multipliers such as Heartless Hidetsugu, The Lord of Pain, and Grievous Wound halve life totals and accelerate the clock. The deck also includes an infinite colorless mana loop with Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth, enabling lethal Xantcha activations. With dense creature removal and symmetric slug engines, the deck grinds down the table and closes games through inescapable attrition.
