Deck overview

Urza, Chief Artificer is the engine of a midrange Esper artifact strategy. The commander's affinity discounts him off artifact creatures, he grants the whole army menace, and his end step creates scaling Constructs. The deck's primary plan is to flood the board with artifact creatures and token doublers, then finish with mass pump such as Tempered Steel, Cranial Plating, or Krang. A secondary draw loop uses Mystic Forge, Sensei's Divining Top, and Fateful Discovery to cycle through the artifact deck, with Bolas's Citadel as an alternate top-deck engine and life-drain outlet. Thousand Moons Smithy, Roaming Throne, and Urza's Saga provide extra token and tutor support. Protection and removal are incidental rather than control-grade.
