Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Exile Voltron and Fling strategy piloted by Umbris, Fear Manifest. The primary plan accelerates into an early Umbris on Turn 4 using efficient two-mana artifacts, then rapidly exiles large swaths of opponents' libraries using Tasha's Hideous Laughter, Leyline of the Void, mill spells, and Nightmare or Horror enters-the-battlefield triggers. As cards enter exile, Umbris grows to massive proportions (often 30+ to 50+ power). The deck bypasses traditional combat obstacles by either granting unblockability with lands like The Black Gate and Rogue's Passage, or immediately converting Umbris's power into direct player elimination with fling-style life-loss sorceries such as Essence Harvest and Rite of Consumption. Sacrificing a gigantic Umbris to Disciple of Bolas or Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar draws dozens of cards, fueling mana generation via Ruthless Technomancer into a table-wide Exsanguinate finish. Death-trigger instants like Feign Death and Not Dead After All provide resilient protection while re-triggering exile abilities.
