Deck overview

This Azorius life-gain strategy is built entirely around Will, Scion of Peace: the deck accumulates life through lifelink Angels, Serra Ascendant, Sphinx's Revelation, Venser's Journal, and Ivory Tower, then converts the life gained in a single turn into a massive discount on white and blue spells. Once Will is tapped at a high X, the deck fires off enormous X-spells for nearly nothing - Stroke of Genius, Finale of Revelation, or One with the Multiverse - and closes with a life-total-sized flying army from Storm Herd or Finale of Glory at X 10. True Conviction, Exalted Sunborn, and Elspeth, Storm Slayer turn that army into a one-swing kill. A secondary angel-beatdown plan (Lyra Dawnbringer, Archangel of Thune, Luminarch Ascension) can win without the commander, but Will is the accelerant that makes the deck explosive.
