Raining Cats & Dogs by hdanner

Format: Commander

Commander: Rin and Seri, Inseparable

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Naya Cat/Dog token-swarm deck built around Rin and Seri, Inseparable. The commander's own cast is a Dog spell and a Cat spell, so it immediately creates both a Cat token and a Dog token; from there, every Cat spell makes a Dog and every Dog spell makes a Cat. Changelings such as Mirror Entity, Masked Vandal, Taurean Mauler, and Realmwalker are especially valuable because they count as both types, and Maskwood Nexus turns every creature spell into a double trigger. The deck wins primarily through combat, using Jetmir, Nexus of Revels, Beastmaster Ascension, and Jazal Goldmane to turn a wide board lethal. Secondary reach comes from Impact Tremors, White Sun's Zenith, and the commander's tap ability when the Dog count is high. The deck has no compact infinite combos; it relies on incremental board development into a critical-mass alpha strike.
