Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Faerie tribal tempo deck led by Talion, the Kindly Lord. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost mana rocks into a turn 4 Talion, typically choosing the number 2 to maximize triggers against common utility spells, removal, and rocks across three opponents. Once this card-draw engine is active, the deck transitions into a flash-based tempo game. It casts instant-speed interaction and flash creatures on opponents' turns to trigger Alela, Cunning Conqueror, build a flying token army, and protect key pieces with countermagic like Spellstutter Sprite and Counterspell. Combat damage is amplified by lords such as Glen Elendra Liege and Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor, while incidental drain from Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Painful Quandary steadily lowers life totals. The deck reliably closes out games around turn 8 via evasive flying combat and extra-turn prowl swings from Notorious Throng.
