Deck overview

This Orzhov deck focuses on Angel tribal synergies, lifegain payoffs, and graveyard asymmetry led by Liesa, Forgotten Archangel. The early game establishes mana development and low-cost tribal pieces such as Giada, Font of Hope and Youthful Valkyrie. Deploying Liesa on Turn 5 creates an asymmetric resource engine that returns your dying nontoken creatures to hand while exiling opposing creatures that die. The midgame transitions into building an overwhelming flying board state using high-impact lords and token generators like Righteous Valkyrie, Lyra Dawnbringer, and Valkyrie Harbinger. The deck applies steady evasive pressure starting around Turn 7, leveraging massive lifegain buffers and flying beaters to absorb counterattacks. Over subsequent turns, broad flying assaults dismantle opposing life totals sequentially, closing the game around Turn 9. The strategy remains resilient against traditional destruction wipes due to built-in recursion, though its relatively high mana curve requires careful sequencing.
