Format: Commander

Commander: Ares, God of War

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Rakdos fast-combo deck built around Ares, God of War as a recurring sac-fodder engine rather than a required combo piece. The primary plan is to use Ares's death-on-attack trigger plus sacrifice outlets to generate repeatable value, then pivot into an infinite haste-token finish from Kiki-Jiki + Zealous Conscripts, a Dualcaster/copy-spell loop, or a Breach-based ritual pile. Secondary wins come from Peer into the Abyss with Orcish Bowmasters and from Bolas's Citadel grinding. Ares can be cast early with Dark Ritual, attacked, sacrificed to Phyrexian Tower or Viscera Seer, and returned to hand, fueling the aristocrat plan. All registered combos are commander-independent, so Ares is an accelerant and fallback beatdown plan, not the linchpin.
