Deck overview

This deck executes a dedicated Dimir Ninja tempo strategy spearheaded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary plan leverages an abundant suite of 1-CMC unblockable creatures to reliably cheat Yuriko into combat on Turn 2 via commander ninjutsu, completely bypassing commander tax. Once assembled, the deck chains additional Ninjas and trigger amplifiers like Roaming Throne to reveal top-deck cards on combat damage. Rather than relying on traditional combat damage, it converts card advantage into table-wide life loss through high-mana-value cards like Shadow of Mortality, Commit // Memory, and delve spells. Cantrips such as Brainstorm and Ponder help manipulate the top of the library to ensure high-impact damage flips. The deck maintains consistent velocity and card draw, though its reliance on combat connections leaves it vulnerable to well-timed sweepers, and its interaction suite competes for mana with board development.
