Commander: Cloud, Midgar Mercenary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Mono-White Equipment Voltron list helmed by Cloud, Midgar Mercenary. The plan is straightforward: cast Cloud early, tutor a high-impact Equipment into hand, suit him up, and leverage his ability to double the triggered abilities of every Equipment attached to him. Value engines like Sword of Feast and Famine, Buster Sword, and Sword of the Animist snowball mana, cards, and board presence when doubled, while finishers such as Genji Glove, Colossus Hammer, and Eldrazi Conscription convert that advantage into lethal commander damage. The deck runs no infinite combos; it wins through repeated combat, often via extra-combat steps and double strike. A dense protection and recursion package (Mantle of the Ancients, Forge Anew, hexproof/indestructible grants) keeps Cloud online, and pillowfort pieces slow opposing aggression while the Voltron package assembles.
