Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius blink and combat-copy strategy commanded by Niko, Light of Hope. Niko creates Shard enchantment tokens upon entering the battlefield and can exile a nonlegendary creature to turn all controlled Shards into copies of that creature until the end step. Because Shards usually enter on earlier turns, they do not suffer from summoning sickness when transformed, allowing them to attack immediately as formidable threats. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient two-mana mana rocks, sets up Niko on turn 3, and utilizes repeatable blink engines like Soulherder and Teleportation Circle to rapidly accumulate Shards. It converts this critical mass of enchantments into explosive combat swings using force multipliers like Hero of Bladehold, Silverwing Squadron, and Skyhunter Strike Force. A robust suite of one-mana instant flickers protects key creatures from removal while doubling as enter-the-battlefield triggers for card draw and permanent removal.
