Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Treasure/Dragon deck helmed by Smaug the Impenetrable, built around a single elegant loop: deal noncombat damage to Smaug to create Treasures, then convert that hoard into a win. The primary engine pairs Smaug with damage-reflection pieces like Blazing Sunsteel and Pestilence to generate infinite Treasures, which feed alternate win conditions in Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant, or fuel a massive Torment of Hailfire. Damage multipliers - Fiery Emancipation, Twinflame Tyrant, Toralf, God of Fury - turn Chandra's Ignition on Smaug into a one-shot table kill. The 99 is dense with redundant treasure producers (Xorn, Academy Manufactor, Goldspan Dragon, Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Storm-Kiln Artist) and a compact ritual package (Dark Ritual, Seething Song, Mana Geyser) that accelerates the commander out early. Underworld Breach plus rituals plus Torment of Hailfire provides a commander-independent combo line. The deck is fast, explosive, and resilient, with multiple independent paths to victory.
