Deck overview

Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain leads an Esper midrange strategy focused on modified creatures, combining Equipment, Auras, and +1/+1 counters into an exponential token-copying engine. Supported by efficient two-mana mana rocks and cost reducers, the deck deploys low-cost Equipment, living weapons, or Auras in the opening turns to ensure immediate modification readiness. Arna enters reliably by Turn 4, immediately cloning attached nontoken permanents and doubling counters whenever a modified creature attacks. This mechanic exponentially multiplies stat amplifiers like All That Glitters and Thran Power Suit while triggering enter-the-battlefield draw engines like Puresteel Paladin. Built-in ward protection combined with elite defensive spells like Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver insulates the board against disruption. While vulnerable to non-targeted sweepers and lacking compact infinite combos, the deck generates overwhelming combat momentum to eliminate opponents sequentially across consecutive combat turns.
