Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Dragon-Treasure combo deck helmed by Smaug the Impenetrable. The core plan is to land the indestructible, hasty 8/7 commander and feed it noncombat damage from pieces like Pestilence, Pyrohemia, Blazing Sunsteel, Pain for All, Self-Destruct, and Cut Propulsion. Each point of noncombat damage mints Treasures, which fuel further activations, cascade off Rain of Riches, and lock in an alternate win through Revel in Riches. A dense Dragon package (Terror of the Peaks, Twinflame Tyrant, Ancient Copper Dragon, Goldspan Dragon, Wrathful Red Dragon) supplies combat backups, ETB damage, and extra Treasure while cost reducers (Dragonspeaker Shaman, Dragonlord's Servant, Urza's Incubator) and a full black tutor suite accelerate assembly. Free interaction (Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick) and redirection protect the combo turn. The deck wins by infinite Treasures, table-wide damage loops, or overwhelming Dragon combat.
