Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange and combat engine led by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages dense 2-CMC mana acceleration to deploy Sauron on Turn 4 or 5. Once on the battlefield, Sauron's Ward ability provides resilient protection while turning every opponent's spell into +1/+1 counters on an Orc Army token. When the Army deals combat damage or Ring-tempting triggers occur, Sauron wheels the hand into four fresh cards, continuously filling the graveyard with recursion targets like Anger, Wonder, and Archfiend of Ifnir. The deck converts this immense card flow into asymmetric board control with Archfiend or Notion Thief, and closes games by Turn 8 using overwhelming combat damage from massive Orc Armies, Lord of the Nazgûl Wraith tokens, or Assault on Osgiliath.
