Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red aggressive midrange strategy commanded by Loki, God of Lies. The game plan revolves around casting inexpensive single-target spells—such as combat tricks, burn, and utility cantrips—to trigger Loki's ability, temporarily stealing opponents' best creatures, untapping them, and giving them haste. The deck amplifies this theft engine using goad mechanics, sacrifice outlets like Street Urchin and Fling, and treasure generators including Storm-Kiln Artist and Goldspan Dragon. As the game progresses into the midgame, force multipliers such as Gratuitous Violence, Rionya, Fire Dancer, and Surge to Victory turn stolen creatures into massive combat damage to eliminate opponents one by one. While the deck possesses explosive tempo swings and turns opponents' strongest threats against them, it relies heavily on opponents fielding viable creature targets and lacks stack interaction and protection against targeted removal and board wipes.
