Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu kindred build centered on Edgar Markov's eminence ability. By remaining in the command zone, Edgar creates a 1/1 Vampire token whenever any Vampire spell is cast, generating immediate battlefield presence without extra mana investment or removal risk. The early curve deploys low-cost Vampires on turns one through three to establish a wide swarm. On turns four and five, the deck plays powerful force multipliers like Shared Animosity, Stromkirk Captain, and Cordial Vampire, or resolves decisive spells like Akroma's Will to deal lethal combat damage. Secondary aristocrat pieces including Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Vein Ripper drain life totals and penalize opponents who wipe the board. Efficient removal such as Swords to Plowshares, Snuff Out, and Anguished Unmaking answers opposing threats, while Boros Charm and Dawn's Truce protect the army from destruction.
