Deck overview

This Abzan deck pilots a lethal synergy engine built on life manipulation, combining life payment, lifegain, and reanimation under Betor, Ancestor's Voice. Rather than merely playing defensive lifegain, the deck weaponizes life as an active mana and card resource through powerhouses like Necropotence, Bolas's Citadel, K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, and Sylvan Library. It leverages this velocity to assemble game-ending infinite life-drain loops using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Enduring Tenacity. Betor, Ancestor's Voice ensures immense grind potential by repeatedly growing creatures and resurrecting fallen combo pieces or utility creatures whenever life totals fluctuate. Backed by hyper-efficient removal such as Snuff Out and Swords to Plowshares, along with turn-shielding protection from Dragonlord Dromoka and Heroic Intervention, the list shifts swiftly from early incremental advantage to an unpreventable instant-speed table finish.
