Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive cheat-into-play strategy centered on Kaalia of the Vast. By deploying 2-CMC mana rocks on Turn 2, the deck reliably casts Kaalia on Turn 3 and attacks on Turn 4. Kaalia's attack trigger bypasses hefty mana costs, putting massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Sire of Insanity and Angelic Arbiter heavily disrupt opponents' resources, while heavy hitters like Aurelia, the Warleader and Hellkite Charger quickly close life totals in the air. The list supports this plan with flexible removal like Swords to Plowshares, Damn, and a Sunforger package. While the deck is vulnerable to targeted removal pointed at Kaalia before her first swing, its high density of large creatures allows it to transition into a hardcast mid-game if Kaalia is answered.
