Deck overview

This is a Golgari reanimator/aristocrats deck helmed by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The core plan is to mill cards into the graveyard, sacrifice creatures to generate experience counters, and reanimate threats every end step. Meren's experience-counter engine provides consistent, repeatable recursion that the deck's 15+ reanimation spells reinforce. The primary win conditions are the Gravecrawler + sacrifice outlet + Blood Artist infinite drain loop, Protean Hulk combo lines, repeated Gray Merchant of Asphodel drains, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord flings. Drain engines like Zulaport Cutthroat, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Poison-Tip Archer convert every death into damage. The deck is a grindy value engine that wins through incremental advantage and combo assembly, with tutors like Fauna Shaman and Fiend Artisan providing consistent access to pieces.
