Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Merfolk tribal strategy led by Sharae of Numbing Depths, focusing on tap-control synergies, token generation, and go-wide combat finishes. The deck develops its mana base in the early turns before assembling its commander alongside repeatable token producers like Deeproot Waters and Deeproot Pilgrimage. As opponents' creatures are tapped and stunned, Sharae of Numbing Depths and secondary draw engines like Verity Circle and Kindred Discovery refill the hand with fresh resources. The primary route to victory involves scaling the Merfolk army with +1/+1 counters via Vodalian Wave-Knight or Cathars' Crusade and clearing paths through blockers using Tempest Caller and Lost in the Maze. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and reliant on multi-turn combat steps, the deck maintains steady card velocity and resilient protection for tapped permanents.
