Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs a high-velocity combo engine with a resilient token-midrange shell. Its primary objective is tutoring for and executing the two-card infinite combo of Witherbloom Apprentice and Chain of Smog. By targeting itself with Chain of Smog and continuously copying the spell, the deck triggers Magecraft infinitely to drain all opponents in a single turn as early as Turn 3. When the fast combo line is contested or unavailable, the deck transitions into a potent mana engine using Cabal Coffers, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, and Warren Soultrader. It accumulates tokens via Bitterblossom, Scute Swarm, and Arasta of the Endless Web, converting wide boards into game-ending combat steps with Craterhoof Behemoth or draining tables with Torment of Hailfire. While lacking stack countermagic, its dense tutor suite and explosive mana generation give it formidable speed and adaptable win paths.
