Deck overview

This Dimir deck combines commander-driven card advantage and passive attrition with a compact, stack-based combo finish. Led by Talion, the Kindly Lord, the deck leverages common opponent mana values (most often choosing 2) to draw multiple cards each turn cycle while steadily draining life totals. A robust package of 0-to-2 mana acceleration fuels early deployment, while efficient interaction such as Force of Will, Pact of Negation, and Swan Song disrupts opposing game plans. The primary route to victory is assembling Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation, which wins the game on the spot for three mana on turn 4. A secondary infinite drain combo featuring Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond, alongside control threats like Hullbreaker Horror and Notion Thief, provides strong late-game inevitability. The deck remains highly resilient because its main win lines operate completely independently of the commander.
