Seth’s bday deck by Strawhattater

Format: Commander

Commander: Riku of Many Paths

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Riku of Many Paths is a modal-spellslinger commander whose main plan is to resolve cost reducers, then cast modal instants/sorceries with as many modes as possible. Riku turns each modal spell into card advantage and board development by exiling cards to play, pumping himself with trample, or making flying Birds. The secondary line is a spells-matter burn package: Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, Ashling, Flame Dancer, and Storm-Kiln Artist turn a long chain of spells into 40 damage or treasure-fueled combat. Veyran, Voice of Duality acts as the hidden commander, doubling all spell triggers; Harmonic Prodigy triple-counts. The deck can win through repeated direct damage or an extra-combat attack with pumped Riku and Birds.
