Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Simic midrange deck commanded by Volo, Guide to Monsters. Every creature card in the 99 possesses a completely unique creature type, ensuring that Volo's triggered ability duplicates every creature spell cast from hand. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using 2-CMC ramp creatures and artifacts, deploys Volo on Turn 3, and begins doubling midgame value engines like Mulldrifter, Beast Whisperer, Tendershoot Dryad, and Silverback Elder on Turn 4. This massive board generation fuels enormous mana and card velocity, culminating on Turn 6 with a lethal overrun attack powered by Craterhoof Behemoth, End-Raze Forerunners, or Astral Dragon. While light on dedicated countermagic and vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers, the deck features intense creature redundancy and fast recovery, allowing it to rebuild rapidly and close games in single combat rotations.
