Commander: Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose is a mono-black life-gain conversion deck. The primary plan is to play Vito early, then turn incidental life gain into direct damage using lifelink creatures, small drain spells, and deathtouch creatures to control the board. The secondary path is grinding through combat with flying lifelink threats and hand disruption, finishing with a lifelink alpha strike or burst drain like Foul-Tongue Shriek. Vito is the entire damage conversion engine; there is no hidden commander. The deck lacks tutors, combos, and protection, so it wins through incremental drains and board advantage.
