Deck overview

This deck is a proactive Naya +1/+1 counters aggro deck led by Aragorn, Hornburg Hero. The strategy focuses on curving out efficient low-cost creatures, deploying Aragorn on Turn 4, and attacking to trigger renown 1. Once creatures are renowned, subsequent combat connections double their +1/+1 counters exponentially. Support cards like The Earth Crystal, High Score, and Loading Zone accelerate counter accumulation, while trample enablers like Garruk's Uprising ensure combat damage connects. The deck refuels using draw engines like Terrasymbiosis and Mikey & Leo, Chaos & Order, which reward counter placement. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game damage that can eliminate players across consecutive turns starting on Turn 6, it relies heavily on combat and maintaining a creature board. It carries moderate protection via Conqueror's Flail and Ultimate Magic: Holy, but remains susceptible to well-timed board sweepers and instant-speed removal targeting key attackers before damage resolves.
