Going Bananas

Format: Commander

Commander: Kibo, Uktabi Prince

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kibo, Uktabi Prince leads an aggressive Gruul mid-range strategy centered on symmetry-breaking artifact destruction. Kibo taps to give each opponent Banana artifact tokens, immediately turning symmetrical removal like Meltdown, Vandalblast, and Brotherhood's End into one-sided board wipes. Every destroyed opponent artifact permanently buffs Kibo and your team of Apes and Monkeys with plus one plus one counters. The deck converts this steady growth into game-ending combat pressure through Kodama of the West Tree, Embercleave, and Overwhelming Stampede, or detonates opposing life totals simultaneously using Chandra's Ignition. Plentiful untap engines, robust instant-speed protection, and targeted artifact theft secure an unstoppable, creature-driven victory.
